MANILA -- Award-winning actor Coco Martin shrugged off a supposed rivalry between him and fellow Kapamilya star Enchong Dee.
In an interview with "The Buzz" after the ABS-CBN Trade Launch event last Tuesday, Martin said people should stop speculating because all is well between them.
"Comeptition? Never naman magkakaroon ng comepetition. Actually kaibigan ko si Enchong dahil nakatrabaho ko na siya sa iba't ibang shows at iba't ibang pelikula," he said.
The supposed row between the two men started when Martin was tagged as one of the reasons Dee and actress Julia Montes had a falling out late last year.
In a separate interview, Dee said he also has no problems with Martin, who also expressed interest in the young actress and was even her escort at her debut party.
“Sobra kaming okay ni Coco. Doing well ang ‘Juan dela Cruz.’ Walang [kompetisyon], Coco Martin na iyon eh. Wala naming problema sa amin,” Dee said.
This was also echoed by Montes in an interview with "KrisTV" last week.
"Okay naman kami [ni Enchong] kasi friends kami ngayon at walang problema," Montes said.
Dee and Montes are set to work together again in the upcoming series "Muling Buksan Ang Puso," which will also feature Enrique Gil, Amalia Fuentes, Susan Roces, Dante Rivero, Dominic Ochoa, Daniel Fernando, Malou Crisologo and Pooh.
Martin, on the other hand, continues to headline the top-rating primetime series "Juan dela Cruz.
