The Voice of the Philippines is truly looking for the voice and not the looks nor the gender as Yuki Ito, the first ever openly gay artist made it to the Blind Auditions of the said reality singing search on Sunday, July 7. Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga both turned for him but as much as he admires and idolizes coach Lea, Yuki still picked Sarah to be his coach. Watch Yuki Ito's The Voice of the Philippines performance below.      Aside from Yuki, other artists who advanced to the Battles on Sunday's episode were 19-year-old Stan Perfecto  and band vocalist Lance Fabros (Team Apl), architecture student Kathreen Castro (Team Sarah) and telephone banker Nicole Parada (Team Bamboo).
